Overview

Boards are customizable dashboards that combine multiple visualizations, reports, and content into a single view. Use boards to monitor key metrics, share insights with your team, and tell data stories.

Creating a Board

Create New Board

Navigate to Boards and click New Board

Add Components

Click + Add to add visualizations or content:
  • Add Report: Insert a saved report
  • Add Text: Insert text/markdown
  • Add Image: Upload or link an image
  • Add Video: Embed a video
  • Add Divider: Insert a visual break

Arrange Layout

Drag and drop components to arrange them. Resize by dragging edges.

Save

Click Save and give your board a name

Adding Reports to Boards

From a Report

  1. Build or open a saved report
  2. Click Add to Board
  3. Select existing board or create new
  4. Report appears on the board

From the Board

  1. Open your board
  2. Click + AddAdd Report
  3. Browse or search saved reports
  4. Select and position the report

Layout & Styling

Grid System

Boards use a flexible grid for layout:

Resizing Components

  • Drag corner/edges to resize
  • Snap to grid for alignment
  • Minimum sizes vary by component type

Reordering

  • Drag components to new positions
  • Components shift to accommodate
  • Use dividers to create sections

Sharing Boards

Team Sharing

Share with specific team members:
  1. Click Share on your board
  2. Enter team member emails
  3. Set permissions:
    • View: Can see but not edit
    • Edit: Can modify the board
Create view-only public links:
  1. Click ShareCreate Public Link
  2. Copy the generated URL
  3. Anyone with the link can view (not edit)
Public links show a snapshot of the data. Consider data sensitivity before sharing externally.

Board data refreshes when viewed. For large boards:
  • Consider splitting into multiple boards
  • Use summary views for dashboards
  • Link to detailed reports

Managing Boards

Duplicating

  1. Open board
  2. Click Duplicate
  3. Modify the copy as needed

Deleting

  1. Open board
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion
Deleting a board is permanent. The saved reports within are not deleted—only removed from the board.
